Thank you so much to Cee-Bee & Sherwin-Williams for choosing me as your event emcee for your rootin’ tootin’ wild wild west night on the 11 Feb 2014. It was a blast!
Singapore Airshow 2014 Opening Night Party
The Singapore Airshow 2014 has just opened, so along with it I’m sure there are many companies who are looking forward to taking care of the participants who have flown in from all around the world.
Tonight was no exception, even though it’s the opening day of the Singapore Airshow 2014 and the delegates, reps and agents were a bit tired and exhausted from the Singapore Air Show, as the event emcee for the night, I was truly impressed how much they wanted to interact & network & just have a real “Yee Ha” time.
I want to give a special mention to Cee-Bee/Sherwin-Williams who go all out to host fabulous parties every two years for their delegates, reps & agents. The last one I did for them they hired a cruise & took everyone sailing off into the sunset around Singapore – it was a rollicking good night. So I was really looking forward to being their event emcee for a ‘Wild Wild West’ theme.
Singapore Airshow International Delegates
People came from all around the world, Thailand, Korea, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, UK, USA and I’m sure a few more countries as well.
Amazingly, a lot of them brought costumes or even went out to buy something just for the party, but for those who didn’t have time, Cee Bee & Sherwin-Williams even provided a box of western hats, sunglasses & kerchief scarves, so everyone not only looked but really felt the part.
It was a great room at the SRC for a wild west feel too, with wooden floors & big doors that opened on to the Padang, where the buffet spread was laid out. Of course the free flow of beer, wine & soft drinks helped the atmosphere as well.
The night kicked off with a great country & western band called “Crossroads”. They played the really popular country hits when the cowboys, cowgirls, bandits, Mexicans & Red Indians were arriving.
Then it was my turn as the event emcee to get the hoe-down started.
I, together with my team were dressed as ‘Wild Wild Western Bar Girls’ & we set the mood by opening up on Shania Twains country hit “Man I Feel Like A Woman”.
Gorgeous Sexy Cowgirls
We had a raucous time with some real Texan cowboys & I even managed to get some gorgeous sexy cowgirls up to entice the audience with their shindigs.
The night barrelled along with a “gold rush”, some “Red Indian Performers” & a stampede!
Then it was time to bring back the resident country & western band “Crossroads”, and they got the audience up on their feet and dancing.
Then it was my turn again, as the event emcee, so this time I gathered them all together and taught them to do their very own line dine. After a few misses, they all got it together & we had a real traditional ‘Barn dance’.
A big thank you to all those involved for setting a great mood with the cacti and cows head strewn around. All we needed was a hay ride & I would have thought I was in Texas.
It was a fantastic, fun filled night, with a really enthusiastic audience, who, despite a long day at the air show, were ready to bring their Stetsons, their spurs, their jeans, their cowboy & cowgirl boots and outfits to make sure that when the saloon doors opened, they were ready to bring the Wild Wild West alive.
Hope to see you in 2 years time guys, as your event emcee for the Singapore Airshow 2016 party.
