I feel that as a professional emcee Singapore in this industry I am really blessed. Whenever I am asked to emcee an event in Singapore or any where else for that mater, regardless of whether it is a dinner and dance, a crazy theme party, a conference, a wedding, a grand gala dinner event, or a product launch, I get to be an ‘insider’.
What I mean by an ‘insider’ is that I get to see how other industries work and how the different clients handle the needs of their customers. Also now they introduce new products into the market. It is always so fascinating to me and I feel like ‘a fly on the wall’. It’s a privilege that not many have access to definitely some marketing tip as an emcee Singapore.
Product Launch Bella Gusto Theme
One such event was the Bella Gusto Gala Evening. This event was for the distributors of Nestle ice-cream, and it was a joint event. It was a Nestle Ice Cream Appreciation Dinner and it was also an introduction to the dealers of two new flavours being launched for La Cremeria ice cream. The new flavours were Almond Pecan Praline, and Vanilla Cashew Delight.
The theme for the event was black and gold and the whole ballroom was decorated in an extremely glamorous fashion, with tables, chairs and room decorations reflecting the theme.
Naturally, as the female emcee Singapore for the gala dinner I was also dressed in the black and gold colour palette for all my costume changes for the night. But the night was not about me, the night was about the ‘Stars’ – the two new flavours for La Cremeria.
New La Cremeria Flavours Product Launch Event
The marketing team were very creative when it came to the launch of the two new flavours. First of all in the centre of the stage they had placed 4 giant oversized boxes of the new flavours being launched. The also had 6 models to do a catwalk in gowns reflecting the colours of the new flavours.
Once the models had finished their catwalk they went down to the VIP tables to escort 4 bosses onto the stage. With the VIP’s in place on stage, it was time for the spectacular launch. After a grand countdown, the VIP’s pressed a trigger, and out of the 2 oversized boxes in the centre of the stage, two giant ice-cream tubs slowly emerged into view via hydraulic mechanism. It took less than a minute for the new flavours to be revealed, but it was done in a spectacular fashion. They looked like they were gifts from the Gods and an extravagant indulgence.

I never knew ice cream and fashion were such a good mix. The other so called ‘models’ brought in for the night were Ice cream freezers with the new ice cream flavours placed in them. These were strategically placed around the room, and of course all distributors were encouraged to help themselves to the new flavours. They were not the only lucky ones, I myself, my dancers and my DJ were all given about 4 tubs each, which we relished. In fact, the event company and crew were all dying to try the new flavours, and when the event was over, they client was more than happy and encouraged them to help themselves.
The new flavours were absolutely delicious and we really couldn’t decide which was our favourite.
All I can say is mmm…….yummy!
